Mine Water Management
One of the greatest challenges facing the industry is how to develop and manage water resources. We help clients find the most efficient ways to procure, control, and manage water, with an eye to use and reuse every drop of water at the site and to minimize long-term environmental liabilities that could result from inefficient water management.
To support our mining clients, we apply innovative techniques in stormwater and surface water quality; hydromodification; erosion and sediment control through best management practices; groundwater resource management and cleanup; and process water treatment, reuse, and recycling.

Innovative Closure Solutions
We craft closure solutions that are protective of the environment and that also consider costs and benefits associated with decommissioning, closure, and final land use alternatives. Our experience extends to multiple mine waste repositories, including spoil piles, waste-rock dumps, heap-leach pads, and tailings-storage facilities. We also work with clients to develop best available technologies (BAT) for their non-stormwater ponds, process solution ponds, heap-leach pads, and tailings impoundments to satisfy regulators while keeping costs under control.
